TP-Link has many great products. This isn't one of them. I specifically chose the AC1750 repeater for my TP-Link AC1750 WiFi router. According to the instructions for setting up the extender, it first connected and broadcast the WiFi router's 2.4 and 5 GHz frequencies. Then I found that this repeater was only transmitting at 1/4 the speed available on either frequency. Attempts to resolve this issue, including updating the firmware and the instructions posted by the manufacturer, have not been successful. The repeater soon left the 5 GHz frequency and only connected over 2.4 GHz. This device was returned on the assumption that it was a one-off defect. I received an exchange for the exact same model. This new extender also does not connect to the 5GHz frequency of the TP-Link AC1750 WiFi router. I don't think it costs over $70 to run a 2.4Ghz repeater at only 1/4 speed, so that goes back in time too.
