These are very high quality microphones, they pick up your voice and not the TV or anything else around you. I have to put up with many of my friends whose microphones are constantly bombarding me with noise. I am using this with my Xbox One and am using amzn.com/B018ZTNEQE to convert it to work. (Note: the x360->x1 conversion is not just a resizing, some pins on the connector need to be swapped). The microphone that came with my Xbox One was fine except that it broke very quickly after showing no signs of wear. This mic has lasted me several months though, so it's durable and works very well. Finally, it has a very handy volume control and auto mute, which can be very important when playing on Xbox Live. It's such a cheap option, even if I've done something to damage my mic it doesn't matter since there's so little I can replace.
