I'm posting this right after I put it on for the first time and not the pre-purchase reviews have read. I bought this case to protect my surface and also to put stickers on it without sticking it on a real laptop. There are a few things I want to know before buying: 1) Unlike other reviews, the top of the case can be locked and won't slide out easily. People mention that there is some plastic on the lower right side that they need to shed to properly attach the case. There is no need to file this piece of plastic. If you notice part of your book on the side of the tray, there is a grid along the contour. You can slide the case down this grille, starting at the top of the tablet, and it snaps into place nicely. It took me twice to make sure it clicked into place, but I have no problem with it slipping. 2) As per other reviews, you will not be able to charge your computer if the cable is oriented a certain way. In the attached pictures I have positions where you can connect the cable so that it charges and plug it in so it doesn't charge. The fact is, this method won't work if you want your computer cable to be behind your computer while using it. I'm not very good at explaining these types of positions, but if you look at the pictures you'll see what I mean. The way I can connect it may cause the cable to be more unstable (look at the pictures again) if I run a charging cable through the back of the computer on the left side (eg. B. if the socket was switched on). left of my computer). This should be taken into account if the socket is normally on the left when in operation. 3) There are small feet on the bottom of the case. Just like a standalone keyboard has feet for different heights, the case has feet on the bottom. I didn't care if I had them or not, but if it helps you decide, here's the info. 4) I can easily attach the handle to the side. The stylus doesn't interfere with the stylus's magnetic adhesion to the left side of the screen, so you can count on it. I give this 4 stars because the cable cannot be routed up and charged. In many cases I need an outlet on the left or even more behind the computer and this can cause the cable to lose strength with continued use of this case and cable. I have a habit of always leaving my computer plugged in whenever I'm near an outlet so I can have 100% use of it later in the day if needed, so that's very important to me. I would recommend buying this if you don't care about the quirks and I can't vouch for the stickers on it looking weird yet because they haven't arrived yet.
