Whether you're mixing drywall dirt, storing fertilizer or soil amendments, or marinating/salting meat, perfectly clean buckets aren't necessary. Now I can use the new food buckets, but the time I save by not having to clean the buckets I mixed the drywall dirt into is tremendous. Also, the use of a tie at the top of the bag eliminates the need for a tight lid to keep fertilizer or other dry products dry. and indeed ruins all your good preparation. If you're mixing drywall clay or epoxy, I recommend using a mixer with no exposed blades.
