I tune a lot of old race engines with two, three and sometimes six carburetors and I have another way of helping with the process, although this is often welcome. I've had spark plugs that pass a simple in-car test where you press the tip against the block when cranking, but don't fire as the rpm goes up. In some cases, spark plugs are quite expensive on race engines and proving they work can pay off fairly quickly for this car as long as you don't throw away the spark plugs to make sure you have working spark plugs. The machine is built to last and for the most part well built. It's easy to use and I have to admit it's weird that someone needs to put a new plug in one spot. but I think it's meant to be compared from new to old. I usually compare sets because I know what the new connector will do. Although you can buy many spark plugs at this price if you own a shop or even race at all including motorcycles/ATV's etc which are notoriously easy to foul. This machine can be a pretty useful tool.
