This is a spicy product!

This compact pencil sharpener runs on 4 AA batteries or a USB power cord that plugs into an outlet. Now this power cord comes in handy as it can run on electricity or you can plug the USB end into a USB hub. In addition to 3 types of power sources, there are 3 types of grinding tips. The sharpener really gives you 3 different points! This is a very quick pencil sharpening process. I use this product to sharpen watercolor and prismacolor pencils. I tried an old red pencil and a regular #2 pencil and all 4 sharpened very quickly. I didn't break off the tip of the tip either. There were a couple of watercolor pencils that didn't sharpen properly in my 20 year old sharpener. The tip of the pencil could be pulled out easily. I used a manual sharpener and it didn't work. I ended up using the blade of an exacto knife to cut it off so it wouldn't break again, but that left a full point. These special pencils were first used in the new pencil sharpener and WOW! This solved the problem I originally had with my old electric pencil sharpener. This is a truly considerate company, enthusiastic about ideas that a customer might need to improve their products. I suggested adding those tiny powerful magnets to hold the mug to the machine so the clips don't have to break. When I wrote to the company about the slight crackle of plastic I heard when trying to remove the cup, Katherine was kind enough to offer me tips on what to do to remove the pencil cup. These are not the SIDES, but the TOP and BOTTOM of the mug where you will place your hand and fingers to remove. In my answer I suggested marking the top and bottom of the cup with ridges or bulges or even a colored dot of glue as an indicator to press the areas opposite the sides that the cup lugs would break. The company offers to replace the mug if it breaks. I believe adding indicators will reduce the number of cups to be replaced.
