The problem with all these 'universal' TV mounts is that they don't account for the placement of electronics and media components on the back of most televisions. I think it's safe to assume that's a TV manufacturer's problem, but TVs don't advertise their versatility. The parts of this mount are very strong and have a classic look and there is plenty of scope for customization. However, the instructions with pictures leave a lot to be desired. I ended up dismantling and rearranging a few steps because everything was the other way around. The final screws holding the TV mount to the stand are NOT long enough and it's almost impossible to get through both holes without swearing and then it takes two pairs of adult hands to screw the mount in. Finally, it certainly had to saw two inches off the bottom of the mount to accommodate the VGA and power cables. I do NOT recommend this product but I know that it is far from universal and may require some adjustments. And some wine. And excuse your child for the loud cursing around them.
