I've read reviews where calling customer service was a big issue, but I found the email process was pretty standard and Eleni always got back to me within a day (sometimes an hour). They asked a series of questions which confirmed the problem, I had to send the receipt and serial number etc. I was satisfied with the work of the customer service. If you really need to get in touch with CS I would recommend emailing what other reviews have said over the phone. They promptly sent me a replacement unit (I have a 2.8, sometimes seems to have stock status issues with 3.5?) and sent me a replacement unit before I sent the faulty unit back. However, they said that the warranty for the replacement device is only 90 days versus 1 year for the original purchase. BEFORE I had any power issues I would give this monitor a 5 star rating. So I just pray that knowing there is such a problem with the power connector, the new units they ship out will fix the problem and not just send out more of the same units with an obvious defect. The time will show. I will update accordingly. I'm increasing my rating from 1 star to 3 stars but would still caution against this monitor hoping it doesn't have power issues. I would like to listen to the bad reviews. As with any product on Revain, you always have your 5 stars and then your various "Oh my god this is the worst product ever" 1 star ratings, even on products I like. was. unfortunately. Far more bad reviews than I normally ignore. I knew someone who bought this monitor so let this beat the Revain reviews (ironically their monitor has since failed as well). The battery life, even when it "works", is terrible. The screen is constantly blank. Now 10 months old the power connector has been broken for the past 2 months as a million other reviews say. We tried to work around this and we had to pull the cord "just right" and at an angle and put something heavy on the cord to charge it. Now it's hardly possible. When the blue light is on, it's "charging," half the time it's not even charging anymore and won't hold a charge. Recently my monitor has failed several times in the middle of the night as it continues to deteriorate. I didn't sleep well (my baby doesn't sleep well, he still has heartburn), woke up in a panic to look at the monitor, but found he was really dead. There is a serious issue with the quality of the charging port and I hope Motorola will listen to some of these reviews and take them into account in future products. I don't have to buy a brand new monitor and these things don't come cheap. Good times.
