Review on πŸ§— PHRIXUS Waterproof Rock Climbing Rope Bag with Ground Sheet, Buckles, and Carry Straps - Large Capacity 500D Rope Storage Bag for Climbing, Hiking, and Trekking by Benjamin Robinson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Ideal for special occasions

These inexpensive rope bags are not designed to break often, they don't last long. However, if the use case is primarily storage and organization, this is ideal. It would also be acceptable to give this little bag to someone else to carry the rope and share the load of gear, but don't load it with 4 liters of water and don't expect it to survive - be sensible. Revain under different names but a few days ago they were the cheapest so I ordered two. The mesh material (not mentioned or pictured by all sellers) on the side isn't ideal for durability, but I think it's a plus for storing wet rope temporarily so it can breathe and slowly dry out of shape, while it can be unpacked to dry properly. For normal use, spread out the rope on a tarp and roll the rope burrito into the main pocket - it's adequately protected from accidental debris, sticks and the like that may get caught in the net. It's the perfect size for my use case. The orange bag on the left contains a Mammut Phoenix 8.0mm x 60m half/double bag and the bundle is slightly loose as the straps are tight. The red bag on the right is a 10.2mm x 60m Mammoth Gravity and the burrito closes tightly with enough room to expand to hold a pair of shoes and a jacket or similar small addition. Just don't stress this little thing too much and think that it will be comfortable or stay together for a long time.

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • Will do
