My son wears these shoes 3 years in a row at a private school where only black loafers are allowed. The quality of these shoes is far superior to S_erry Oxfords and any cheaper quality shoes. They last all year round, guaranteed. However, my last purchase looked a little different on the inside of the shoe. Only the labels in different colors were just as soft and high quality. Unfortunately, when my son tried them on, they were too tight for him to even think about breaking them in. My son has never needed wide running shoes and has never needed them with any other shoes. This shoe has never been tight for us. I will return them, but I order exactly the same shoes, we like the quality, in a wide range.
