There are critics, but overall good

I bought it to use with the Mac Mini M1. The split screen feature didn't bother me as I know how to dock Windows in macOS. I bought it because it's widescreen. I also liked that it has Vesa mounting holes and built-in audio. OOB worked great and I had no real problems, but be aware: the Mac Mini doesn't recognize audio controls, so the menu bar and keyboard can't be used to change the volume. It's okay, the volume control on the monitor is a little farther from me than the keyboard. I read somewhere that this HDMI limit is higher than Mac limit but I don't know if I will buy it. In any case, there are other sound options, and I usually use AirPods. The I/O ports are VERY close to the VESA holes, so some mounts may not work. I have a bracket to attach the mini to the back and had to mount it sideways which is far from ideal. Though a hand probably wouldn't hurt. I'll probably put the mini under the table, so again, no big deal. If you're using an app or playing a game like WOW that prefers full-screen mode, widescreen monitors can be finicky. I think that's why there is a split screen feature. If you're on a Mac like me, you probably don't need it. Which is good, because finding the software was a frustrating exercise. Pro Tip: Search on Google, not the LG website!
