They actually work quite well as long as you secure them with pliers or they will slip on the strap. Just a note but the small size makes your ring about a size smaller, I needed even smaller and I had to go with the medium one. **UPDATE** These things are TERRIBLE! I've used this type of sizer before and spoke too soon thinking it was the same thing. I knew I wouldn't get high quality for this price but damn it! The edges of the protrusions are sharp and will snag on anything, they also irritate the pinky and middle finger. You'll scratch your ring like hell even if you use pliers and it won't slip on the ring. They are of very, very poor quality and the silver coating wears off within a day and turns into a tarnished piece of shit. In addition, the metal is so thin that after about 3-4 days the spacer will bend flush with your ring band and then of course it will be unusable. It's everyday wear only, I'm in no way rude with my hands or jewelry. No wonder they give you three in a pack. If you plan to use them for the occasional wear of a ring that doesn't have much value, or perhaps a piece of jewelry that doesn't fit, they're probably fine. But for my antique platinum engagement ring, these things are a BIG shame. I ended up getting my ring size anyway and the money I spent on it was more than worth compared to the money and frustration I wasted on this crap. Just choose the size of the ring, is it something you cherish and wear every day, something priceless to you, how much is a hundred dollars (maximum) for the size? Trust me you will be much happier when your ring fits the way it should.
