5000 BTU AC window fan bearing failed after 4 years. Worked noisy/poorly for another year. Loud as hell. The worst of the two new BC bearings was worse than the original bad bearing. The best new BC bearing was better than the old bad but much worse than the best 5 year old bearing. These bearings can be suitable for inline skates. but not the fan motor bearings. I checked without tools, just pressed the bearing onto the shaft with my fingers, turned the shaft and listened. Quiet/smooth = good bearing Loud/rough/rough = bad bearing. Also replaced 3rd party bearings on my 1 ton fan motor which tested perfectly using the same method and worked great/quiet/smooth when assembled. Those BK camps suck.
