The manual says the (SR-36) has 120mW of power output through the speaker, but for some reason the Sangean SR-35 has the same advertised power and sounds louder using the same 2 AA -Supply batteries used as power supply. This SR-36 costs twice as much as the SR-35 but for the model just released the motherboard has a date of 01st June 2018 so Sangean waited over 2 years before they released it and that's all mine I think there are still bugs. The first problem I have is weak sound (even at maximum volume), then uneven selectivity on AM, where I can pick up weak AM stations on SR-35, SR-36, he not only fights for a weak station centered to illuminate the tuning LED (as is the case with company blaster stations, 50kW), but also not selective enough to decide whether to give the listener some of the weak signal. or very little, during the day when weak stations can transmit at maximum power. I'm having a hard time understanding why Sangean didn't just take the SR-35's internal DSP circuitry and adapt it to the dimensions of the SR-36's horizontal structure? Most Sangean radios are well constructed and perform better than most other radios. in the price range of the Sangean models. But while this model isn't bad enough to qualify for a refund, it doesn't give me the motivation to buy more of this model (although it works, it's just in my collection as a precaution) until they get at least one bad one AM selectivity fix weak AM stations. There are some minor non-performance issues, like the newer model I received didn't come with a carrying strap to attach it to the hole in the case dedicated to this accessory "feature". have a DC input port/socket, the end user will need to setup it themselves by the judges if they require this capability. Drill a hole and solder the required connection which will disable the 2 AA sockets when using an external power supply, or just add them in parallel with the existing 2 AA power sockets and just remove the batteries to keep them from exploding. when someone plugs in an external power supply without providing a special disconnect device for the batteries if they leave them installed while using the external power supply (jury rigged).
