The Sangean SR 36 AM Pocket Radio is a great addition to my electronics collection. It's compact and easy to carry around, allowing me to listen to my favorite AM stations wherever I go. The sound quality is clear and impressive for such a small device. However, the lack of FM capability is a bit of a downside. Overall, I highly recommend this radio for anyone looking for a reliable and compact AM radio.

The Sangean SE-36 is a DSP radio receiver that delivers excellent FM sound quality. The reason why this radio got 3 stars is because the DSP chip in AM can't handle strong signals well and produces an annoying clicking sound. At first I thought that this radio was installed, so they replaced it. The change was the same. See Todderbert's expert review. He agrees that the DSP chip is annoying. But for local FM stations, the sound quality is remarkable. This radio is not recommended for AM.

The manual says the (SR-36) has 120mW of power output through the speaker, but for some reason the Sangean SR-35 has the same advertised power and sounds louder using the same 2 AA -Supply batteries used as power supply. This SR-36 costs twice as much as the SR-35 but for the model just released the motherboard has a date of 01st June 2018 so Sangean waited over 2 years before they released it and that's all mine I think there are still bugs.
