I bought a new truck and needed to run a new set of wires for my winch. By the way, if you want to do a permanent installation, buy a 2-wire trolling motor connector kit. I attached the inside to the hitch frame with some cheap galvanized straight staples you can buy at any hardware store. I bought my Bass Pro trolling motor forks. Just buy a forked loom and some zip ties at any auto store and safely route the wire back to the battery. The connector that goes into my power winch connects just as easily as the trailer wiring harness.
