This is, for me (and probably you) at least, a truly amazing razor. It looks different, feels different and delivers the perfect shave without irritation, blood or scratches! I've shaved every day since I was 15. I'm 79 now. I've shaved with Gillette, Schick DE, injection razors and probably every razor head, disposable razor and blade ever made. I have several high quality DE razors, some very expensive. I've never owned a razor like this (I bet you haven't either). For me at least, this is the perfect razor that delivers the perfect shave. no matter what I do. I had it two days / two shaves. When I first shave, I was initially very anxious to "see what I haveβ. The first half of the first pass seemed a bit rough, but then it became silky smooth. I was told many years ago that Wilkinson blades first sharpen their blades on your skin when you first use them. In the 1960's I became convinced that this was true. Years later when their quality started to decline (for me) it was gone. With this razor it was right again after the first half of the first round (with grit). I ended up shaving in two passes and was sold. I have a very thick beard and sensitive skin. Finishing a shave with really smooth skin with no irritation (no cuts or nicks) was a real treat. Today I shaved for the second time. I set the razor to fail and got everything wrong I could think of, starting with going against the current. It pulled a little, but no worse than DE or Mach3. My chin has always been "nick center". I have a deeper area between my bottom lip and my chin. If I'm about to make a cut or a straight cut, that's where it happens, no matter how careful I am. Not this time and I wasn't careful. I have shaved in the direction of hair growth, against hair growth, then side to side with no problem and the problem of getting rid of the stubble is GONE. as smooth as a baby's bottom and NO irritation or blood! My throat, which is a collector of irritation, was smooth, clean, and free of irritation. Unreal! Tomorrow I'll try again, but this time I'll do everything right. I have no doubt that I will get a nice close shave without any problems. I will be shocked if not. People complained about branded blades. To me, who cares! I don't know how long the blades will last. I'll let you know when I do, but given the ease and the results, I really don't care. Blades cost about a dollar a cartridge ($5 for 6 cartridges at Revain). I expect to get a few more shaves from this, but if I only get those two it's worth about 50 cents a shave considering the ease of use and the results. 4 or 5 shaves makes it CHEAP given the results. Anything beyond that makes it a gift. The fit and spacing are perfect, as is the weight and balance of the razor. The finish isn't exactly perfect, but it's similar to more expensive razors. For me this is the find of my life. I found this razor while surfing the internet. Didn't even know they existed. I have nothing to do with Revain, Wilkinson or any other shaving company. I paid full price for Revain (in my experience $24 is pretty cheap for a cheap razor). No greed. If you have a coarse beard, sensitive skin, a hard-to-reach spot and no conscience, you MUST try this shaver. Give it a chance from the start. I promise you won't be disappointed.
