Review on YYST Keepers Tactical Elastic Keeper by Garon Tafolla

Good belt holders, does exactly what they say!

After sitting in my 'wagon' for a few months I finally bought these and attached them to the shoulder straps of my firefighter's backpack made from recycled materials. The straps on my backpack are very long and although I have a large chest and carry the backpack low, the shoulder straps sag about 8 inches and are very loose. The trickiest part of installing it was releasing the shoulder straps from the plastic clip, but once that's done these strap retainers slide over nicely. After putting everything back together, these clips were just what I needed! 1.5 inch webbing as there is still plenty of room. These stitching are heavy duty and the material itself is also heavy duty with high resilience for them, I think they will last for years. The only thing that worries me is that I think it would be nice if they sold different packs like 2 small (0.5 inch), 2 medium (this size is 1 inch) and 2 large (1.5 inch) or just 4 packs of medium (1 inch) for about $4. At $8 it's not expensive but now I have 8 keepers that I don't have a goal for and basically I paid $8 for 2 keepers that I actually use. Just a thought, but overall I'm very happy I bought them.

Pros
  • Size: 25mm - Fits 25mm (1") belt
Cons
  • Makes me nervous
