This device is intended for advanced users who have experience adding a USB drive and/or an Ethernet connection to the Fire Stick. As with most other similar products, you'll need a micro-USB OTG-Y cable to get it working, which is sold separately. ADVANTAGES: IT ADDED 3 USB PORTS AND ETHERNET CONNECTION TO THE FIRE STICK 4K. I haven't tested it on lower models, I don't have them. USB 3.0 ports. Adding USB drives works (with some minor issues). Wireless USB keyboard remotes with a paired USB adapter work very well. Blue light, it looks nice, the plastic doesn't overheat. CONS: Run 2 different speed test apps, Aniliti Speed Test and Internet Speed Test. Only the download speed was tested. Anility showed that WiFi speed is much faster, about 40 points faster than Ethernet connection, while in Internet speed test, Ethernet speed is about 10 points faster than WiFi connection speed. Overall, on my 400Mbps service, the Ethernet connection speed averaged about 320. The WiFi connection speed averaged about 340. Bad, right? Not quite sure what for. All 3 USB ports can accept 1 to 5 USB drive detection inserts, 3 tested. That can get annoying over time and potentially damage flash drives or this device, who knows. CONCLUSION: Not a huge difference in Ethernet speed, possibly even worse as discussed above. Might be an alternative if you want to avoid typing in WiFi usernames and passwords. 3 ports are crucial for me. This device gets 3 starts from me. I can't give this 1 star because the seller clarified that this doesn't work for Fire Sticks, but then again it definitely worked for me with an additional OTG-Y cable that I bought separately. I hope this post helps in the debate for all questions whether this device works for Fire Stick or not, FIRE STICK 4K YES.
