At the age of 25 I lost all my teeth. I have tried all the denture adhesives available to me. Only he RELIABLY holds my dentures. I had a very public job and no one ever noticed the fakeness of my "teeth". I'm 75 now. I've been using Rigident powder since the beginning. After 50 years of daily use, I have never experienced any effect from the "horrible" zinc. However, in their wisdom, the manufacturer has discontinued the product. The product that came closest to Rigident was Fixodent. It holds up almost as well as Rigident, but it is very difficult to remove the attached GOO when I take my prosthesis off. It adheres violently to gums and dentures. However, this is the only viable product currently available.
