Spend the money to have the lens checked instead of trying to save it! It will operate immediately, very sharply, and have rich colors, and there will be nothing blowback, and it will not be tight, and it will be induced rapidly like a whale zoom, if everything with the camera and the lens is in working condition. Why should one purchase it? If you want a larger depth of field and higher sharpness in your photographs, you should avoid shooting in locations that prohibit the use of flash. You can take my word for it; you won't be sorry!
