We recently decided to replace some old fluorescent lights in our kitchen with LED spots. After purchasing the compact jars and LED lights, I cut holes in the ceiling only to find a PVC drain pipe interfering with the installation of one of the spot jars. I searched the internet and found these Easy Up LED downlights which do not require spot mounting but simply mount to the finished ceiling with a J-Box built into the top to enclose the electrical wire connections. Installation was a breeze and they work great for about half the price of traditional glasses and LED lights. They're very bright at 5000K, but that's exactly what we wanted to achieve to replace two 48" twin-tube fluorescent lights. These Easy Up lights are dimmable so I'm going to add a dimmer switch so I can dim them a bit if needed. The included white trim rings are magnetically attached and we were able to find bronze replacements at Home Depot to match our other kitchen lighting.
