Review on ๐Ÿง” Dove Men+Care Clean Comfort Deodorant Stick - Aluminum-free 48-Hour Protection, Enriched with Vitamin E and Triple Action Moisturizer - 3 oz (Pack of 2) by Tina Cruz

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great smell - Doesn't irritate skin - But doesn't last for "48 hours "

One of the main problems I have with deodorants is skin irritation. It was mild on my skin and I didn't have any breakouts on my skin or rashes. That's a huge plus because I understand that even with some of those who claim to be specially formulated for sensitive skin. It has a really good aroma. I've had some that smell like cheap cologne even though they're more expensive. It's a pleasant (not overpowering) scent, enough to let you know it's there, but not so much that people ask what perfume you're wearing. The deodorant effect is definitely there but I would say it only lasts about 8 hours. 9 hours in an average environment that allows you to sweat and get warm. This works great if you shower 2-3 times a day, but not enough for a full morning to evening deodorant. You have to shower again. The best thing about this deodorant is that it contains no aluminum. I've been using aluminum-free deodorant for at least 15 years and have found that more and more mainstream deodorant manufacturers are realizing they are losing business with their toxic aluminum ingredients, so they're adding entire lines of deodorant products. Your conventional deodorants do not contain aluminum. The only downside to this ingredient list is that it still contains propylene glycol and poloxamine 1307, which I really wish it didn't have. So it's kind of a compromise between the two. Otherwise I would recommend this product if you agree with the other two and you also shower at least twice a day. I would rate it a five if it weren't for the fact that it claims to offer "48 hour deodorant protection" and is also free of those two ingredients. But thanks to Dove for finally releasing a line of aluminum-free deodorants. I have a feeling that 20 years from now we will all be looking at this again and wondering why aluminum was EVER added to deodorant. Final grade: B-
