I have a 34" waist, 30" inseam, 205 lbs, and have a slim Hank Hill build (heavy top, no buttocks, and some abs). I've worn these pants probably half a dozen times, and that's in temperatures above 30 degrees. As for me, I could easily use these pants as EITHER a pair of pants OR as separate pants. There are Velcro waist adjustment straps on either side that allow me to do both with no issues. These pants are very baggy. In a way, that's a good thing, because it lets the wind blow through them nicely and is also easy to wear over trousers and boots. Wearing them to the grocery store will make you look like you're wearing 1980s mesh parachute pants. However, my biggest practical problem would be the lack of storage space. These pants have 2 small front pockets barely big enough for my phone and wallet, no back pockets or other storage options. Otherwise everything is upside down! These light and airy trousers are ideal for riding in hot weather. They're also versatile, and you won't have a hard time swinging your leg over a taller bike. I can't imagine you'll find better hot weather breeches (with knee pads and hip pads) for the same price. I'm taking off a star for pocket storage and they look a bit like MC Hammer pants.
