Review on TREBLAB XR700 Wireless Sports Earbuds with Custom Earhooks: Perfect for Athletes by Sedric Hood

Revainrating 4 out of 5

*Updated Rating* - Significant downgrade from Treblab XR500

*Updated Rating* Trelab contacted me after I posted this review. They offered to send me another pair of headphones to try for free. I still stand by my opinion that these headphones are inferior to other offerings. But I've raised my rating from 2 to 4 stars because of the excellent customer service. I have XR800s that are vastly superior to these. I still advise avoiding them like the plague, but the XR800 and XR500 are solid choices. It is worth doing business with this company! *Original Review* I've had a Treblab XR500 for a few years and am happy with it. I only used them for training. You sound good enough. Battery life is decent. etc. Unfortunately one day I forgot to put them away and my cat chewed through the wire. So I was about to buy a replacement pair when they came up as a 'newer' version. I have taken a decisive step. They arrived and I loaded them up and connected them without incident. The sound quality is almost identical to the previous model, there is no noticeable difference. The biggest change is that the behind-the-ear hooks are flexible and adjustable on this model. At first I thought this would be an advantage since I could customize them perfectly. In the end, however, it brought more trouble than good. Especially if you store them in case they lose their shape. So you have to reconfigure them every time. Single. Time. It got very annoying very quickly. The cable that connects them also appears to have a slightly different finish as it sweats profusely. This often means that when I turn my head, it gets so stuck and caught in sweat that the phone pops out. It's fine on a treadmill where I don't have to turn my head. But walking on the street looking out for cars and other people is a big minus. Overall, this doesn't offer any major improvements over the XR500 and is a downgrade in many ways. Not recommended at all (I would recommend the XR500!).

Pros
