Review on Corningware French White III 2.5-Quart Oval Casserole Dish with Glass Cover by Sal Mattocks

This is a replacement for a nicer pot that broke when I placed it on a hot stovetop after removing it from the oven. It's exactly one second. Comparing side to side the handles don't match exactly which isn't a tragedy as it wasn't a gift but the CHEAP lid is a tragedy. It's so thin and light that I put it in the dishwasher (which I never use) just to keep it safe. Most glass lids these days have metal strips around the edge to protect the edges and the glass is much thicker. In a busy family with the kids doing the dishes I would give it maybe a week. Sorry girls, the price is reduced for a good reason. Also, I read where this model was discontinued - I know why!
