Nice safe place to store tires or other stuff

I wanted to write a review on questions I had before purchasing and others with help their future purchase. First, the mounting hardware is fine. It appears to be 5/16 deceleration propellers. I used washers with them but I don't know if it was necessary. First find your studs in the wall, mine were 12 inches apart. Then you measure 48 inches and mark the holes. Measuring from a ceiling or level floor will help ensure you install the brackets at the same height. First drill with a 3/16 bit where you marked the hole. Then, while holding the bracket up, screw in the lag screw. The clip that holds the bottom of the mount when not in use is on the outside. I used a drill to drive in the lag screw. You will know if you are screwing into the hairpin because you will feel resistance. So put the first screw in the top hole on each bracket. Simply tighten the screw so that the screw head just touches the bracket. I drained 8 inches off my garage ceiling for the first hole and am happy with that decision. Then take a level and make sure your brackets are straight up and down. Once you've done that, you can drill other mounting holes and insert screws with the bracket already raised. Now that the brackets are up you can go back and hand tighten all of the screws with a socket wrench until you feel they won't budge. It's wood, so don't use a pry bar or punch gun or anything with crazy power to tighten it. I used my drill to put them in and a socket wrench to tighten them. Next come the lower bands. The small one penetrates the large one, then we install the screws to hold it and tighten it. This part is really easy. The whole thing takes about 25 minutes if you have the tools and the right measurements. I am satisfied with this product. I have 4 wheels and tires, there is still room. You can also store boxes, bags or whatever on it. Good luck and make sure all your screws are tight.
