Review on πŸ“Έ Versatile Light Blue Olympus Tough Sports Holder CSCH-123 for TG-1,2,3,4,5 & 6 Cameras by Anuj Mierzejewski

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A POV camera with a top capture button works well, like the Canon D30.

I bought it for the POV (point of view) ability to strap it to my chest and record videos like a Go Pro for hiking, biking, kayaking etc. However, when the Olympus camera is in the body is bulky, it is inconvenient to get to the TG5's record button. I don't know if there is a way to record video using the main trigger. It looks like the only way to record video is with the rear video button, which is hidden by the bracket. However, I have a Canon D30 with a top trigger and top video capture button that work great in this mount. This works very well as a walking camera. Leaves both hands free to use my Sony or Canon mirrorless DSLRs. Bottom line, this works great as a POV with the top video button, but ironically doesn't work with Olympus cameras! The pictures show it installed on my bike, a very easy to use video with a Canon D30 would not have worked. good with Olympus cameras. This works well with a backpack, life jacket, etc. for kayaking, skiing, or hiking.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • So so
