Exactly as described

Read the description as well as the reviews and if this is what you want and need you will know about it and you will get exactly what you expect. Yes, it's a little tricky to reach and remove the video button in the mount (on the TG-5), but if you're an outdoor enthusiast you can place it right there with all the other devices we've covered they use trail and backcountry, and that becomes second nature. Ditch the included strap and opt for something less plastic (like the adjustable ForRapid…

Faulty strap and lots of room for improvement

I've had a few issues with this mount and my TG-4. First, the end of the tape is separated from the rest of the cord without tension. It just resolved. Obviously defective. Good thing the camera wasn't being carried by a strap when this happened. Second, it's impossible to tell if the camera is level (most of my videos are rotated left or right) or even level. I was mountain biking and all I could see in the resulting video was my front wheel. I tried to adjust the position and backed up, now…

Works well but the TG-5 has a major design flaw

The mount works great and I had no problem quickly storing and retrieving my TG-5 camera for photography. Unfortunately, after a few rides with it, I found that the batteries drained faster than I'm used to. I've also noticed that the GPS tracker is often turned on, although I usually shoot with it off. It turns out that this holster has a serious problem with the TG-5: when the device is in the holster, there is a very high probability that a safe movement will put the OFF/LOG switch in the…

A POV camera with a top capture button works well, like the Canon D30.

I bought it for the POV (point of view) ability to strap it to my chest and record videos like a Go Pro for hiking, biking, kayaking etc. However, when the Olympus camera is in the body is bulky, it is inconvenient to get to the TG5's record button. I don't know if there is a way to record video using the main trigger. It looks like the only way to record video is with the rear video button, which is hidden by the bracket. However, I have a Canon D30 with a top trigger and top video capture…

Love this BUT read on to keep your camera safe!

Bought this to have fly fishing access. It uses Velcro that tightens onto your backpack/sling/harness. It won't stick (and therefore won't slip off) when you place velcro over the nylon strap. However, it works great if you attach it to a padded belt. I never intended to use it when my TG4 was in video mode. This was done to remove the camera and have access to it at all times. He did as announced. My camera was totally secure and I never had to look. I was able to access my camera with one…
