The original lightbulb in my oven lasted about 6 years. When I needed to replace it, I went to a big store and bought a brand name bulb that was safe for high temperatures. This lasted about a month. Then I searched and searched for alternatives and it seemed like everyone was complaining about the same thing. It seemed to get good reviews despite the occasional complaint of short lifespan so I decided to give it a try, worst case scenario I'd eat 4 onions in 4 months which is still cheaper than 1 at the store a week. So far so good, the first pear has now been in the oven for about 6 months. - Note: My oven also has a protective cover over the bulb.
