They say that the oil in it should last 30-50 days at a minimum temperature, but this is not so. Fragrance is barely present next to this style unless you crank the dial to the maximum, but then the oil only lasts a week (two max). I prefer the square style to these because they release a lot of flavor even on lower settings and last about a month. It's important to note that I used the same flavor (Glade Apple Cinnamon) from a 3-pack for both types of heaters in two different rooms at the same time (this model was used in the smaller room).
