Overall the system works great as a basic 5.1 surround system. However, the buyer should have some basic knowledge of home theater systems before purchasing. The chords supplied with the system may not be compatible with your devices or may be too short to connect. I had to buy extension cords and converters to connect to my TV/smart player/etc as well. If your TV has a single-channel audio output, you need to buy a chord converter. You may also need to switch the TV's audio output from stereo to surround.
