Photo update - pup in this jacket - wish it was light and visible dogs presumably under the jacket. I also wish it had built in shift cords to get it out of the tail section. I used the leg straps to get him out of the poop, but there was a cord built in so he could be pulled up a bit during the poop (as could with an underjacket or a bit later) and then let him have good coverage of the entire back of the dog, for rest time would be better. The neck gag tightener keeps the neck perfectly in place. And I think another similar back brace would be a big improvement. Although it might matter less if the dog had a tail. The neckline is in the right place for my dog's tail, but on a tailless dog there is nothing to hold the jacket in place. Pros: I bought the jacket for my puppy who had outgrown another jacket and decided it was better than my older dog. jacket, so I bought him one too. I made them slightly larger for each dog so they can wear a warm jacket underneath and then the coat can be removed for quick drying after a walk outside. Underjackets should also be waterproof, but not good enough for PNW conditions. Cons: Leg straps rub - I don't use them. Wishes: A bright orange variant for visibility in the hunting area. slightly shorter when leaving - especially for a tailless dog whose tail does not support it. More comfortable leg support.
