Review on Sony WI1000X/B: Black Wireless Behind-Neck In-Ear Headphones with Premium Noise Cancelling by Pin Lin ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Reliable purchase, guaranteed to be a good purchase.

The listed shortcomings are minor things. With their main purpose, the headphones do an excellent job - they delight with their excellent sound quality and acceptable autonomy. I rate it 5 stars and strongly recommend to buy. They are worth their money. Wireless sound is very good. Some pros: The sound quality is superior to other more expensive wireless headphones, including on-ears. There is support for high quality codecs, but even with a regular codec they sound very good. There is practically no difference in sound between wired and wireless connections (it is impossible to determine what sounds better, what is worse, you just hear that there are differences). Do not fall out of the ears. They play for a long time. With the noise reduction turned off, I lost 14 hours and 20 minutes. Noise cancellation allows you to feel more comfortable in the office and in public transport / subway. Almost completely suppresses low-frequency background noise. Different cons: The wire for a wired connection is very non-standard, it has a micro USB connector on the side of the headphones. The wire itself is very thin. Where to look for one if it breaks is not clear. Additional functions such as adaptive noise reduction control work very crookedly. It's easier to just forget about them. Calling Google Assist using the button on the headphones also does not work, although this assistant is installed and functions quite well without headphones. Wired connection does not connect microphone. Noise canceling does not muffle human speech and high-frequency sounds in general. Noise cancellation just makes staying in noisy places a little more comfortable, but nothing more.
