I wear normal women's size 8, but bought this in women's size 8. The reason was the steel toe cap. There is plenty of room for your toes to flex and wiggle your toes. The sole is thick and after walking on the warehouse concrete floor I felt traction. The tongue is very soft, which is fine for me as I lace my shoes very tightly and the knot sits on the tongue of the shoe. I don't feel the steel toe cap on my toes like I do with boots. My only complaint is with the insole. Take out the ones in the shoes and buy your own. The insole was very thin and slick which caused my foot to slip while walking. In addition, the upgraded insoles gave me a better fit, arch support, and comfort. These shoes have 4 stars because of the insoles but 5 stars because I bought the insoles. You look good. Beautiful black color and long laces. I feel like I got my money's worth.
