later The concept is pretty cool but the overall look just feels cheap. The pictures in the Revain listing look way better than in real life. If I were to buy this for one of my kids I probably wouldn't mind but I'm giving it away and now after seeing it I'm not sure I want it anymore. The box is labeled entirely in Chinese (I think). The only English text on the box is "Collage for hundred changes" and "36+ months". Again, I don't really care, but it's just noteworthy. Neither the box nor the little booklet inside says the materials and paint used are non-toxic, although the Revain listing says so. Payment is very easy. I could do it myself. It would be nice to have some kind of coating on it, and not just raw wood. It seems sanded enough and all the pins are glued well (I pulled on all of them). All parts were stock and none were broken or weak/cracked. They are all the same thickness, about 1/8 inch, and flat. There were some dangling pieces of wood on the sides of some of them that I scraped off. It was a little disappointing. The pieces are untreated wood, stained in different colors but still have a slightly rough texture. The paint leaves neither a seal nor a smooth surface - it is like painting wooden parts with acrylic paint. I'm a little concerned about what will happen if a child puts it in their mouth like all young children (even three year olds) do. The pieces of wood *seem* to be quite strong, but I don't know how they will hold up over time depending on their thickness, and I think I could easily break the longer ones in half. With the type of wood they're made of, I can already see the sharp splinters that might come out if one of them breaks. I checked all the details on the perforated plate and they all seem to be working fine. The holes are well spaced and easy to place. The supplied sample instructions are very inadequate. It only shows you how to make letters and numbers. There are no examples of shapes or images that could be made. You have to be a little creative to figure out how to make a butterfly or a boat or whatever and I know that makes sense but it would be nice to have some examples to give you an idea how you can Connect different shapes to take photos. The images on it are also very small, and the example "3" in the number part is actually the letter "E". Example 3 in the Revain list differs from that in the brochure and would be more correct. The box contains only a perforated plate, a booklet and parts in a zip-lock bag. I think if you want to take it with you, you have to leave the box or find a bag to put everything in. Overall it's ok for the price. I really like the concept and also the wood and plastic, but wooden toys need a better finish than this one (virtually no finish at all). I think the pieces could have been made a bit thicker for durability, and there should have been more example images that you can create specifically for the little ones to get involved. The box says "Collage of a Hundred Changes" and I'm quite creative myself, but it would be difficult for me to come up with a hundred different recognizable images and shapes.
