I really like how these shelves look when installed. However the installation was really poor as described, the dowels supplied with the shelves came out of the wall quickly and didn't hold the shelf in place when something was on it. Because the mounts are wider than the average stud spacing, they only mount into drywall, which is not a good idea. Instead we drilled new holes in the shelves to fit the studs perfectly and they've been solid ever since! I recommend finding studs and then drilling new holes in the shelf so you don't have to use anchors. I wouldn't even bother using the included installation steps.
