Haven't used them yet but wanted to upload some better photos and check them out after my first inspection. For the price and the lack of decent competition in this price range, I'd say it's a win-win if you're like me and want a hammer and cart starter set that isn't complete rubbish. The hickory stems are straight and without defects. Not that it bothers me, but the wood surface is relatively rough. All working metal surfaces are well polished and I think they have a clear coat. Not sure if this is common but it will be interesting to see how the finish holds up. All in all, no surprises, Gearwrench isn't the best of the line, but they give you about 90% there.
