Not durable at all. I assembled this shelf following the instructions - easy. I didn't add a thin piece of cardboard to cover the back because it was damaged. When I tried to gently push this shelf against the wall it all leaned over and fell apart! The screws holding the top shelf had popped right out of the wood. Some of the thin wooden dowels holding the heavy shelves together broke in half! I can't put it back together, and even if I could, it wobbles and tilts unsteadily. Not safe for a child's room. A complete waste of money.
