I've had this perch for a little over a year and my cats just loved it and one was always dozing on it but as you can see it's BROKEN (first and second photos ) . We adjusted it quite high (2nd photo) and when it fell apart my cat fell for a very long time. Now let me be clear that I have Maine Coons that weigh close to 30lbs so this shelf had to carry the extra weight but it wasn't very durable over the long term just because of the way it was made. You can see (first and second photo) that the main shelf just fits into a slot in the frame. The frame stayed in place because it's stuck in the support beam, but the shelf itself broke off and wobbled. it's really stalled. I'm lucky my cats weren't hurt because it's one hell of a fall. I'd rather have one with brackets like the ones we made above it (third photo). The curvature of the shelf is what attracted my cats. So if you don't put this shelf up high and don't have very large cats, it's fine, but expect it to break at some point.
