I really want to love these headphones. I'm hard of hearing and often have trouble understanding film language because nowadays everyone seems to want to go the Christopher Nolan route, pumping up the effects and soundtrack while muting the speech. To hear speech in movies I need headphones with good mid-range performance and the KONG-X delivers that in the peaks. Of the dozen or so pairs I own, some are bloody expensive, these are by far the best mid-range. If you're looking for clarity in dialogue, stop looking. This is for you. Unfortunately, there are a few features with these headphones that bother me a bit. First, they emit a green flash every few seconds while in use. Stop doing that. Nobody wants or needs this feature. It's useless at best and annoying at worst because now I can't wear them to bed at night without disturbing my wife. I'm not a skyscraper and I don't need a flashing light to warn of an approaching plane. Second, the two earbuds don't seem to talk to each other. If I turn off one of them, it's very difficult to turn it back on without turning off both of them and running again. If the right earbud is off and the left one works, the sound in the left one stops when I turn on the right earbud. Once they're out of sync, they don't want to come back, and even if they're both in sync, the female voice giving you warnings isn't quite in sync between them. t excellent. At first glance it looks like a really well-made fabric hard case with a strong zipper, but when you open it you'll see a thin plastic cover with an annoying clip that you'll find in the remote's battery compartment. I really hate opening this multiple times a day and it's frustrating knowing it's easy enough to create a useful and beautiful battery case. So yes, four stars. The sound is exactly what I need. It's perfect for me and I love it. I just want the rest of the package to make the same impression on me as the sound.
