I love this brush!

I love this spray gun! I wonder why I waited so long to buy! It gives your paint job a nice professional finish. And it's a lot easier than using a brush when you have a lot of grooves to paint. Reading the instructions and reviews I was concerned it would be a lot of work to clean it after each coat of paint, but it's very easy. The spray unit easily detaches from the spray gun (you press the release button) and then breaks into several different pieces that you simply wash under the sink. You get a small brush to clean the straw of paint and a skewer to clean the nozzle. The kit comes with a lid which is very handy to seal the paint canister. Between coats of paint I was able to remove the paint canister from the spray gun and cover it with a lid to keep the paint inside while I flushed out the rest of the build. Worked very well and without any problems. My first painting project was a canteen server. It has many moldings with grooves; It was so easy to get into all those little areas with this paint gun. Much better than using a brush. First I used 1-2-3 latex stain remover/primer and then regular latex paint. I used a 1.2 nozzle and added water to the primer (and then the paint) until about 40 seconds had passed to empty the viscometer. This preliminary work, adding water to the paint and checking the paint's viscosity through a small cup, takes the most time. Painting itself is very fast. A few key points I learned: It's best to apply light (thin) layers. This gives you the most professional look. If you apply the paint too thick, it will drip and need to be rubbed off with a brush, and then it will take longer to apply the paint on the spot again. Be careful with overspending. The paint gun is pretty good at focusing the paint spray, but you still need a rag and be careful where the excess paint goes. I drew on a rag in the garage. I had scattered bits of my work (two doors, two shelves, and a server drawer that I was painting). As I moved around the room, I didn't pay enough attention to the way I dragged the extension cord behind me, so I touched several parts I had just painted. I just had to remember to watch what I was doing and where I was pulling the power cord. But seriously, read the instructions. They're clear and easy to use, but I couldn't properly use this airbrush just by swinging it. Just as I received the gun, the seller emailed me a video on how to clean it after each use. It was helpful. One thing that was a little painful was that since you have to mix the paint with water and I was applying it to vertical surfaces (which will drip if I apply too much paint) it took LOTS of coats. . Since I was painting closet doors, I also had to paint one side at a time, which took twice as long. I would say I had to apply 5 coats to get a good result. Apply each coat VERY FAST with this gun; it just took a long time for all the work as I had to wait for the paint to dry between all those layers. Overall I am very satisfied with this spray gun and can only recommend it. I write honest reviews to help others make an informed purchase. I do this because I read reviews myself and understand how helpful they can be. I hope my review was helpful to you.
