One of the things I wanted to know when purchasing was the cable type. The description doesn't cover this so I will. I received the STW cable which means the outer shell is thermoplastic and not thermoset. Thermoset material is much more durable than thermoplastic. Also, it is STW (not STOW), so NOT oil resistant. Ideally (for me at least) the cable should be SOOW so I know it will be the last cable I will ever buy. So for me the STW cable is 2 stars and the value is 4 stars because the price is a bit high for this kind of cable. In addition, male pins are very easy to bend. Do not drop the end on the ground, even from a few feet, as the pins will bend. Another hit. Technically, the cable is weatherproof and works great for my needs. It is CSA approved for outdoor use. The cable is very flexible and the handles are very comfortable to use. I like this part a lot. The carrying handle is also a plus. As for me, all I know is that I have to be careful with the cable not to damage it and if I do that I have no doubt that the cable will last a long time. So 4 stars overall and 2 stars for quality. . 3 stars.
