Update my previous update! Earlier this week I received an email from BOSPHORUS saying they saw my review on this product, tested the towels themselves and came to the same conclusion as me! They stated that they have now changed manufacturers and these are the towels you see here. I am so impressed with the fact that they took my review to heart and not only investigated it but made changes to keep the customers happy. They also offered to replace my previous purchase with these new 100% cotton towels. That's great customer service and I look forward to my delivery of beautiful towels! - March 28, 2019 -------------------------- ------------------------------- - ---------------------- --------------------- I'm increasing my previous rating from 5 on a star. I ordered these towels in March and was wondering why they didn't get softer and more absorbent after a few washes like other Turkish towels I have, so I did a fiber test. I cut off the frayed edge of one of the brushes and lit it with a match. The first worrying factor was that when I lit the fibers, they stuck to the match. Cotton fibers (I knew it was cotton because I burned some of them) stay fluffy and stay in place. The fibers of the towel curled into a hard little ball. Basically, they're molten, meaning they're synthetic, maybe nylon or polyester. The description clearly states that they are 100% cotton and I bought them based on that fact. No wonder they are so cheap. I will not buy anything else from BOSPHORUS again.
