Review on 🎶 Enhance Your In-Car Entertainment with the Pioneer DMH-W4660NEX Mechless Digital Media Receiver by Kimberly Khaltai

I recently installed this Pioneer multimedia receiver myself on my 2017 Subaru WRX with basic factory audio. Although it was a complex installation that took almost a day with all the wiring and installation, I was able to keep all the steering wheel controls and the rear view camera with the IDatalink Maestro RR box. My BOM included: 1. Pioneer DMH-W4660NEX2. Metra AX-SUBUSB23 USB adapter. Scosche SU2031B kit with double DIN4 connector. Antenna adapter Metra 40-LX115. Interface module iDatalink Maestro RR6. Interface harness iDatalink HRN-RR-SU27. Posi-Twist Connections Simply adding a new receiver has greatly improved the sound quality despite the lack of additional speakers/subwoofers. This is due to the additional speaker power of the main unit as well as Pioneer's improved EQ. The Apple Wireless Carplay functionality is fantastic and makes me feel like I'm driving a brand new car! I'm sure you won't miss the lack of a hard drive slot! While it would be nice to have a volume control, adding one to the device would greatly detract from the aesthetic and sleek appearance of the device. Fortunately, the steering wheel remote control works great. This is a fantastic upgrade for any car without Carplay!
