We bought these headphones as a cheaper alternative to more expensive noise canceling headphones as we don't fly in the air very often. These headphones are misrepresented as noise canceling in our opinion. While they help reduce background engine noise, they're not nearly as effective as a pair of more expensive noise-cancelling headphones that I've used to actually cancel out background noise. However, after a nine-hour flight, we felt significantly better upon arrival than without hearing protection. However, the sound quality, whether video streaming or music, is very good for the price. If you're looking for a good set of wired noise-cancelling headphones, this is a great option at a really good price.
