The quality of this product has really gone down

I have been buying them for several years now and the price has steadily increased. I didn't mind that though because I really like the feel of the pen and I end up using a stylus more than a ballpoint pen or flashlight. However, over the last year, the stylus' rubber tip has started to crack around the base, rendering my main stylus function unusable. This breaks my heart because I love these pens so much!
