Review on 💡 SFF 8087 Internal Connector for Efficient Connector Creation by Reginald Pitt

I have a file server with high density drives (>40 drives) consisting of all SATA drives and -cables. I recently replaced my SATA drives to SAS and I needed a quick and dirty solution to connect the SAS drives to my RAID controller. Option 1 was to use SAS port adapters (about $6 per port) and keep my existing SATA cables. , or use one of those $14 cables and replace the entire cable assembly (reducing the cost of the connector to about $3.50). So I went with a replacement cable since it was about half the price. All in all I bought 4 of these and I currently have about 10 drives that work with these cables. The cable fits snugly and snaps securely into place, the latch for the 8087 works well and there were no mounting issues or glare on the cables.
