Review on 🚿 GROHE Rainshower Allure 230 Single-Spray Showerhead (Model 27480000) by Sondra Sikes

In the last 12 months I have installed 3 different rain shower heads and tried to find the best one. To be honest, all the previous 3 did a good job despite being modestly priced and made of metal-mimicking plastic. Functionality is paramount, but aesthetics are important for anyone looking to emulate the relaxing spa most of us desire after a hard day's work or mornings. No matter how carefully I masked the fitting that tightened the previous shower head, it still got scarred trying to tighten that plastic as tight as possible to prevent leaks. I had already installed a large Grohe faucet in the same bathroom to use with the sink so I appreciated the beauty, build and reliability of their more expensive but quality products. This faucet has been working flawlessly for about 15 years! Admittedly, this Allure shower head is very expensive, and I initially wondered if the $763 suggested retail price on the Grohe website was a mistake! The real selling price is almost 2 times lower, but still quite high. When the box arrived I was surprised at its unexpected weight. When I opened the packaging I realized that this is a really high quality, accurate and beautiful piece of art. Brilliantly reflective, solid and precise. It installed in minutes, and its durable metal fittings didn't shy away from the wrench, just connected firmly and precisely. The flow from a rain shower is plentiful and evenly distributed, although the water pressure in my home isn't usually epic. I have no doubt that this head will be reliable and trouble free for many years to come. It really duplicates the experience you would enjoy at a high end spa or hotel. The cost is high but I don't know how the feel and flow could be better. Highly recommended, albeit at a great price.
