I originally bought these collapsible cups after reading a blog that this type of toy can stimulate many educational games for young children. Who would have thought that something as simple as different sized cups could be such a hit! My 7 month old daughter fell in love with them as soon as I showed them to her. They are easy to grab and put in your mouth which is perfect for them at the moment. In the belly play, she smacks the cups while they lie on their side and watches them roll across the floor. So many different skills are developed through simple interaction and play with this open-ended toy. For parents like me who also want to get the best bang for their buck, these collapsible cups can be used in toddlers, preschool, and kindergarten depending on their intended use. The cups themselves are colorful and made of hard plastic. The bottom of the cups has a rounded edge that helps stabilize the cups when stacked in the tower. I like the numbers on the bottom and the matching shaped holes on each mug. With the help of these cups, children learn not only size and color, but also numbers and shapes. For any educator or parent of young children, this toy is a must have!
